A taro farmer in Malaita showing us his varieties of taro.
My sister-in-law brought over from fiji. I got a few suckers from her home nurse. So this ones here are still under nursery to find the best variety.
These are our local variety, where people usually plant beside their home. But it tastes good also. So we decided to plant it.
This taro here was given to me by esther and Pita from Kastom Gaden. I’m still doing the nursery for them. It’s a very good taro. It has a nice taste.
It has four rows here. It is still under nursey, we will plant it on its own field later. So that we can share it to other farmers.
That is our main goal.
