Roselyn Kabu Maemouri is an experienced Solomon Islands development practitioner with over 25 years of expertise in project management, participatory rural development and sustainable agriculture. 

Roselyn is a member of the Development Services Exchange (DSE) Management Committee, the peak NGO body in the Solomon Islands.

Roselyn specialises in Participatory Rural Appraisal methods, ensuring community ownership in all project stages from baseline data collection to evaluation. She has designed and delivered training programs on nutrition, indigenous farming techniques, integrated pest management and climate-resilient food production. Her work has included nationwide staff supervision, development of strategic and annual plans, and management of multi-donor-funded programs (AusAID, EU, Oxfam).

Key Achievements

Reduced malnutrition rates in Choiseul Province by 50% through kitchen garden and nutrition awareness projects.

Led the successful adoption of indigenous pest control methods across North Malaita, now used widely by farmers.

Coordinated national agricultural networks, enhancing community access to quality planting materials and sustainable farming resources.

Roselyn has been a regular presenter at regional and international conferences on sustainable livelihoods and traditional farming systems and has extensive experience in cross-cultural facilitation across the Pacific.
